OUR MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY WEEK 2010 NATIONAL PARKS and CANYON COUNTRY including LAS VEGAS and MESQUITE NEVADA SINGLES LUXURY GROUP TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 - - Atlanta - Boston - Las Vegas Mesquite:
Depart from Atlanta or Boston's Logan Airport aboard our flight to Las Vegas. After departing the airport, we will enjoy a short tour of the famous "Strip" in Las Vegas.
We will then head out in a northeasterly direction to Mesquite,Nevada and check in at the beautiful
First Class Resort and Spa Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada
(7 Nights)
The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to familiarize ourselves with our surroundings.
Overnight with dinner at the hotel. (D)
Day 2 - Monday, May 24th,2010
- Grand Canyon National Park:
After Breakfast we will be visiting one of the -
Seven Natural Wonders of the World - the vast and exciting Grand Canyon! Arriving at the Northern Rim, we will have a spectacular view of a wide are of the canyon and the Colorado River flowing through it. From Bright Angel Point, there will be incomparable photographic opportunities. We will return to our hotel in Las Vegas for dinner and overnight. (BB, D)
Day 3 - Tuesday, May 25th, 2010
- Zion National Park - Mesquite:
An early departure this morning, as we will depart for stunningly beautiful Zion National Park, a dramatic rugged gorge cut by the Virgin River through multi colored sandstone, limestone and shale and located near Springdale, Utah. From the floor of the canyon, we will marvel at the towering rock walls as we journey through this incredible natural wonder aboard an open air bus.
We will then return to Mesquite for a fabulous Western barbecue with chicken, ribs and all the fixings.
Overnight at our hotel. (B, D)
Day 4 - Wednesday, May 26th,2010
- Bryce Canyon National Park - Kanab:
This morning we will depart to travel to
Bryce Canyon National Park for a full day tour.
This park feartures some of the most colorful rock that have been sculptured by erosion. The end results are called hoodoos. Iron Oxides give red, yellow and brown tints to the limestone. Ruby's Inn in Bryce Canyon will proved a perfect place for a serene lunch (on our own).
After touring the park, we will motor over to Kanab, Utah - aka "Little Hollywood" for a Dutch Oven Dinner.
Our local host, cook cowboy and historian will share with us the history of the days when famous movie stars like John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart lived and worked in the area.
Return to our hotel for overnight. (BB, D)
Day 5 - Thursday, May 27th, 2010 - St. George:
We will depart the hotel and cross into Utah for a visit to historical St.George, where we will be hosted on a tour of the local area, including the 1200 - seat St. George Tabernacle, known as "the jewel of the desert", and Brigham Young's Winter home, built in 1873.
We will have lunch (on our own). while in St. George and have some free time to browse and shop. On our way back to Mesquite, we will stop at one of Utah's most famous eateries - Chuck-A-Rama - for a delicous home style meal.

Day 6 - Friday, May 28th,2010 - Valley of Fire - Lake Mead - Hoover Dam - Las Vegas:
After breakfast, and hotel check out, our morning excursion takes us to the Valley of Fire, Nevada's oldest State Park. The rough floor and jagged walls of the park contain brillian formations or eroded sandstone and sand dunes more than 150 million years old. These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attraction, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays.
After a stop for lunch (on our own), we will drive to
Las Vegas to drop off our luggage at our hotel.
Next we will visit the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to see this beautiful spot created by construction of the Hoover Dam and tour the magnificent Hoover Dam to learn about its construction and history.
Return to Las Vegas to the beautiful First Class Resort and Spa Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada which is conveniently located at the hottest "Four Corners on the World Famous Las Vegas Strip" for an included dinner and overnight. (BB, D)
Day 7 - Saturday, May 29th, 2010 - Las Vegas:
Breakfast at our hotel. Today is a full day at leisure to enjoy the city's most famous casinos, or maybe visit one of the most visual spots in Las Vegas - The Fremont Street Experience! This canopied five blocks of the downtown is an eclectic collections of shops, boutiques, 10 casinos, 73 restaurants and more, surrounded by the brilliance of 12 million LED lights, and the music and special effects of 220 speakers generating 550,000 watts. Or catch one of the award winning Las Vegas show's at one of the many, wonderful hotel complexes!
Dinner is on our own. Return to our hotel for overnight. (BB)
Day 8 - Sunday, May 30th, 2010
- Las Vegas - Atlanta or Boston -
After breakfast, we will sightsee in Las Vegas

Day 9 - Monday, May 31st, 2010
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY 2010!
- Las Vegas
After breakfast and hotel check out, we will transfer to the Las Vegas Airport where we will board our return flight to Atlanta or Boston or airport of choice.(BB)
