... a historic tour of real places related to the Vlad the Impeller - Dracula. This is not meant to be a scary horror tour, but a pleasant enjoyable walk through the very historical times of Dracula.
Day 1 - Welcome to Romania - Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
- First Class Resort Hotel in Bucharest, Romania (3 Nights)
Arrival at Bucharest Otopeni airport; transfer to your hotel for your first night in Romania.
Free time to explore the city
Day 2 - Bucharest city tour - Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
City tour of Bucharest in the morning: visit the ruins of the Princely Palace and the second largest building in the world, the Palace of Parliament - a legacy of a more recent "Dracula" - the communist dictator assassinated in 1989 - Ceausescu.
Drive to Targoviste, the capital of Wallachia during Prince Vlad the Impeller time, for dinner and the opportunity to visit the ruins of the Royal court which shelters many dramatic stories of greed, justice and cruelty.
Day 3 - The real castle of Dracula - Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Visit the ruins of Poienari - perched high on a rugged crag over the Arges gorge. The 1480 stairs lead us to Dracula's real fortress.
In 1462 Prince Vlad was besieged here by the Turks. He sent to the village of Arefu across the hill for help but his wife, fearful of capture, threw herself into the river far below.
The villagers came at night and managed to smuggle the Prince across the high Carpathians to the safety of Transylvania and, in return, he gave them 16 mountains as pastureland, a reward they still remember, more than 500 years later!
Drive to Sighisoara Lunch in the house where Prince Dracula - was born.
Day 4 - Halloween Dinner at Dracula's - Friday, October 29th, 2010

There will be a guided walk round the old walled Sighisoara town, one of the best preserved in Europe.
You will enter the clock tower, climb the dark covered stairs to the gloomy cemetery, walk around the thick walls of this amazing citadel
Day 5 - Dracula Castles - Saturday, October 30th, 2010
Visit the Bran Castle, built around year 1377 as part of the Transylvanian defense ring, the castle belonged to Dracula's grand father - Mircea the Old - and was constantly disputed by Vlad Dracula. The castle is a real "must see"
Visit Brasov - medieval walled city. Great sites to visit as The Black Church, the Council Square , the old defense walls that are still well preserved on the south and west side of the old city the watch towers and the narrowest street in Europe
Day 6 - Sunday, October 31st, 2010 **
